Earlier, on April 9, it was reported that most of Severo-Kurilsk on Paramushir Island in the Sakhalin Region was left without electricity due to a powerful cyclone. By evening, wind gusts of up to 58 m/s were recorded. As a result, downed power poles, damaged road signs, facade cladding, and most of the city was left without electricity. It is specified that large-scale restoration work has already been launched.
