Krasnoyarsk power engineers put on standby due to wind

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, employees of the ROSSETI Siberia branch were put on high alert. The wind is expected to increase to 25 m/s in the region.

Specialists are on duty around the clock. 243 Krasnoyarsk Energy brigades are ready to eliminate possible technological violations, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

The rescue service reminds residents that it is forbidden to take shelter from the wind on the territory of power facilities.

Earlier, on April 9, it was reported that most of Severo-Kurilsk on Paramushir Island in the Sakhalin Region was left without electricity due to a powerful cyclone. By evening, wind gusts of up to 58 m/s were recorded. As a result, downed power poles, damaged road signs, facade cladding, and most of the city was left without electricity. It is specified that large-scale restoration work has already been launched.
