A native of Crimea with dual citizenship was found guilty in a case of high treason after the facts of his transmission of audio recordings of radio exchange between employees of the special services of the Russian Federation to the intelligence service of Ukraine were established. As reported on April 9 in the united press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory, the defendant was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

"Using special equipment, he collected and transmitted to the representative of the intelligence service of Ukraine audio recordings of the radio exchange of special services personnel, as well as security personnel of a strategic enterprise located in the Krasnodar Territory," the court's Telegram channel says.

The man was convicted of illegal activities by employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia. He will have to serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony. In addition, the amount of 569,204 rubles received by a convicted person for a crime was confiscated at the expense of the state.

On April 4, the FSB's Public Relations Center showed an interrogation of a Kostroma resident convicted of treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. The man acted on the instructions of the curators from Ukraine, using the pseudonym Suetologist. He carried out tasks aimed at harming the security of the Russian Federation. The defendant received 20 years in prison.
