Russia will welcome guests from different countries at the International Youth Festival in 2026 after the previous festival, held in 2024, proved the absence of any isolation of the country. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the presentation of the festival on April 9.

"The course towards youth self—organization and the involvement of young people in significant national and international projects is a conscious choice of Russian society. <...> I am sure that all participants of the festival will be united by the desire for creative realization and harmonious interaction for the benefit of all mankind. Young people will lay the foundations of relations in the coming years and decades," Lavrov said.

The Minister added that Russia would be glad to receive guests from both near and far abroad. According to him, the last forum and the activities of international associations created as a result of it proved that young people are ready and willing to work for the benefit of the harmonious development of the whole world.

"As it was two years ago, when everyone became convinced that there was no isolation of our country and that young people from all over the world sincerely want to visit here, get to know their peers, and look for something new for themselves," the Foreign Minister concluded.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 6 that Russian culture should be a part of the whole world, as no culture can develop in isolation. A few days earlier, Konstantin Bogomolov, artistic director of the Malaya Bronnaya Theater, called everyone who is trying to abolish the culture of the Russian Federation stupid.
