UAZ talked about the prospects of "Loaf" and "Hunter"
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant does not plan to stop production of CGR (various versions of the so-called "Loaf") and Hunter cars in the foreseeable future. This was reported to Izvestia on April 10 at the enterprise.
"SGR cars, as well as Hunter SUVs, are in demand by consumers, there is a steady demand for them. Therefore, despite the launch of production on the assembly line of the company of new models of the Sollers brand, there are no plans to curtail the production of Loaves and Hunters," UAZ said.
Currently, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant is conducting resource tests of the updated UAZ Patriot SUV in urban conditions and on country roads. It is expected that the cars will appear in dealerships by the beginning of autumn 2026. The updated Patriot received a new two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 136 hp (320 Nm). It combines the engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. The restyled SUV should also receive spot-on exterior changes and an updated interior design.
Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, together with the People's Front project, upgraded the UAZ Hunter evacuation SUV to perform tasks in its area. Changes were made to the car, designed according to the wishes of the fighters.
