The Polish military reported on the alleged interception by Polish fighters of a Russian Il-20 aircraft in international airspace over the Baltic Sea, the operational command of the country's Air Force said in a statement on April 9.

It is specified that the participants in the interception were a pair of F-16 fighter jets on duty. Their pilots "visually identified and escorted the Russian Il-20" over the Baltic Sea.
