Repair of the neonatal unit was completed in Irkutsk hospital
The Department of Pathology of Newborns and Premature infants has completed major repairs at the Ivano-Matreninsk Children's Clinical Hospital in Irkutsk. This is reported by the regional government.
Engineering systems were replaced in the department, the roof and blind areas were repaired, finishing work was carried out, windows and doors were replaced, and new furniture was installed. Special attention was paid to the modernization of the medical gas supply system. In addition, an infectious diseases unit was created with an isolated entrance and a separate nurse on duty.
The unit includes an intensive care unit with five beds and a somatic unit with 45 beds. The cost of repair work amounted to more than 40 million rubles. The funds were allocated from the regional budget under the Healthcare Development program.
According to IrkutskMedia news agency, Governor Igor Kobzev took part in the opening. He also congratulated the staff of the city's Ivano-Matreninsk Children's Hospital on being awarded the Order of Pirogov for outstanding achievements in medical, scientific and educational activities. The relevant decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
