UAZ confirmed the date of the updated Patriot's debut

Updated UAZ Patriot SUVs are expected to appear in dealerships by early autumn 2026. This was reported in the company's press service, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on April 9.

The updated UAZ Patriot received a new two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 136 hp (320 Nm), which traces its lineage back to the JAC engine and has already been localized at the Yelabuga plant.

The diesel engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, the same transmission will be available for a gasoline SUV with a 2.7-liter engine. It was developed by JAC and localized at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ). Work is also underway to introduce a hydromechanical "automatic" into the Patriot, but the timing of the appearance of such a modification is unknown.

The restyled UAZ Patriot should receive pinpoint changes in appearance, including revised LED optics, and a redesigned interior design, in particular, with a new steering wheel.

Earlier, on March 30, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant announced that it is currently conducting resource tests of the updated UAZ Patriot SUV in urban conditions and on country roads.
