The alternative Telegram application Telegram has disappeared from the App Store

The Telegram application, an unofficial client of the Telegram messenger, disappeared from the AppStore on April 9, Izvestia was convinced.

Telegram positions itself as a client of the original messenger, which uses Telegram's open source code. It is claimed that it is "adapted to the needs of Russian users." The day before, the app was available in the AppStore, but now the message "Nothing found" appears when searching.

Nevertheless, the app is still available in the Russian segment of Google Play on smartphones with the Android operating system.

This leads to a generational conflict and a competition of formats — "postcards" versus memes.

On April 6, Telegram began labeling users using third-party services (the so-called "mirrors") with special marks "unofficial client". The corresponding notification is shown when you try to write to the person using the "mirror" to log in to the messenger.
