The Supreme Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation has granted the resignation of Yuri Ivanenko, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia and head of the Judicial Board for Economic Disputes. This was reported to Izvestia on April 9 by a participant in the trial.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Higher Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation. Ivanenko has been a judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation since April 2015. In October 2020, he became the head of the third judicial panel on economic disputes. In July 2024, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the court, at the same time heading this board.

Ivanenko holds the title of Honored Lawyer of Russia. He was also a member of the Presidium of the Supreme Court and was co-chairman of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Court.

Vladimir Popov became the Chairman of the Higher Qualification Board of Judges. The decision was made unanimously on April 6 during an open vote of the board members. Personnel changes occurred after the appointment of Nikolai Timoshin to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia. He has been the head of the VKKS since 2012.
