The fare for travel on the MDA during busy hours on weekdays is indexed
Starting from April 10, the fare along the Moscow High-speed Diameter during the busiest hours on weekdays (from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00) has been indexed by 4 rubles and now amounts to 19 rubles per section.
Travel remains free 70% of the time on weekdays, as well as on weekends and holidays. The transit fare — 950 rubles — has not changed.
Travel on a specific section of the highway is considered paid only if the car entered and left the site during the paid time. So, drivers will not have to pay if the car entered the site at 6:55 a.m. and left at 7:30 a.m. or stopped at 10:55 a.m. and left at 11:30 a.m.
For vehicles of operational services and mail, municipal equipment, public transport, school buses, as well as taxi cars licensed in Moscow and the Moscow region, travel along the MSD is always free.
The cost of all trips made per day is summed up, after which a single payment is made within five days. It is recommended to pay for travel only through official resources, including the website msd.mos.ru , the Parking of Russia application, Public Services, as well as through banking applications.
As previously reported in the channel of the Department of Transport in MAX, after the opening of new sections of the MSD, the overall connectivity of the districts has improved, and routes have become more convenient for drivers. The demand for the diameter is growing, which leads to a redistribution of traffic flows and an increase in traffic intensity in certain sections. For example, on Kantemirovskaya Street (from Varshavskoye Highway to Kaspiyskaya Street), the average daily traffic increased by 6 thousand cars, which is 13% more than before the site was opened.
"The trend is clearly towards an increase in highway load. Taking into account the fact that the main goal is to maintain the capacity of the MSD and provide residents with guaranteed travel time, it is necessary to change the tariff. However, if the load on the road decreases, then the tariff will be reduced," the publication explained.
