The third day of space Week was dedicated to young people — students and young specialists of the rocket and space industry. The central event of the day was the industry forum of active youth of Roscosmos "Team of the Future", which was held at the site of the Moscow Aviation Institute.

The forum opened with a plenary discussion with Boris Glazkov, Deputy Director General for Strategic Development, Mikhail Pogosyan, Rector of MAI, and other industry representatives.

Commenting on the Space Week youth Day, Valery Falkov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, noted that in order to achieve the country's technological leadership, special attention is being paid to the training of engineering and technical personnel.

"The entire higher education system is being improved for this purpose. One of the main principles of the new model is practice orientation, which implies a close relationship with the real sector of the economy. It is encouraging that Roscosmos is already actively working systematically with universities, expanding internship programs at its enterprises. This approach allows us to train qualified personnel and makes the industry attractive to young people," the minister said.

In addition, in 2026, the federal project "Personnel for Space" was launched, which, among other things, aims to attract young specialists to the space industry. Universities will implement at least 40 additional educational programs in space, satellite and engineering technologies for students and teachers. The project also provides for the implementation of new additional professional education programs in the most popular areas for employees of the rocket and space industry. It is expected that by 2036, more than 22,000 schoolchildren will be able to participate in space activities, and more than 20,000 students, young scientists, and teachers will be trained.

"Today, high-tech corporations and companies are in dire need of young, qualified personnel. Therefore, Roscosmos faces the most important task — to increase the share of young specialists, which currently stands at just over 20%. We are actively implementing a system of tangible and intangible incentives, strive to retain and develop new talents, try to reduce the gap between generations of engineers and develop a mentoring institute. To maintain Russia's leading position in the space industry, we need young people who are ready to learn from their experience, look openly into the future and confidently implement the most ambitious plans. And we will try to provide the basis for this," said Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of Roscosmos State Corporation.

Within the framework of the forum, 270 young engineers, designers and managers attended lectures and master classes, where representatives of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences spoke about the history of exploring distant planets and promising projects.

In addition, on this day, 28 universities belonging to the scientific and educational consortium of the main universities of Roscosmos held thematic classes, meetings and hackathons for students on their sites.
