Trump threatened Iran with large-scale battles if the agreement is disrupted
On April 9, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with large-scale fighting if the peace agreement was disrupted.
"If for some reason this does not happen <... > then the shooting will begin, more extensive, improved and powerful than ever before," he wrote on his Truth Social network.
According to the head of the White House, American ships, planes and military personnel will be located near the territory of the Islamic Republic during this period. Trump also recalled that the basis of the deal is the parties' opening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Iran's non-use of nuclear weapons.
On the night of April 8, Trump announced that he had agreed to suspend strikes on Iran for another two weeks. The condition for this was the complete unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz. The United States also received a 10-point proposal from Iran to resolve the conflict. At the same time, the head of the White House on that day declared his readiness to resume hostilities against Iran if the United States could not conclude an agreement satisfactory to Washington.
At the same time, the Reuters news agency reported on the same day that the Iranian authorities could partially open the Strait of Hormuz next Thursday or Friday, before starting negotiations with representatives of the United States in Islamabad.
