An ex-correspondent of Radio Free Europe was detained in Transbaikalia for treason
In the Trans-Baikal Territory, a former freelance correspondent for Radio Free Europe (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization) is accused of treason for cooperating with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was reported on April 9 in the Central Control Center of the FSB of Russia.
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Trans-Baikal Territory has suppressed the illegal activities of a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1960, involved in the commission of high treason. It has been established that a resident of Chita was previously a freelance correspondent for the international organization Radio Free Europe, which was recognized as undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation," the agency clarified.
As noted in the department, in order to assist the Ukrainian side, he joined the Telegram community controlled by the Security Service of Ukraine.
