It became known about the US plans to supply Ukraine with devices for hacking cars.

The US State Department intends to purchase equipment for Ukrainian security forces that allows them to secretly open locks and gain access to vehicles in order to combat drug trafficking. This was reported on April 9 by RIA Novosti with reference to the documents.

The request was published by the Bureau of International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (INL). The document states that the ultimate goal is to combat transnational networks producing synthetic drugs, which the United States sees as a threat, including to its own country.
