Israel attacked a Lebanese cemetery during a funeral in the town of Shamstar. Mohamad Sahli, a journalist from Al Mayadeen TV channel, told Izvestia on April 9.

"According to preliminary estimates, we are talking about at least 10 dead and about 18 injured, while people have injuries of varying severity, but this is certainly not the final number," he said.

It is noted that the attack was carried out at the time of the gathering of worshippers at the funeral ceremony. In addition, the correspondent provided information about the shelling of the Karak area and the village of Sakhmar.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on April 8 that Israel supported the introduction of a ceasefire with Iran for two weeks, but it would not apply to Lebanon. In addition, the Prime Minister's office reported that the United States assured Israel of its commitment to achieving common goals for Washington, Tel Aviv and its allies in the upcoming negotiations.

On April 8, Israel launched a new attack on Lebanon, despite the truce agreement. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, hundreds of people were killed and injured after the attack. Iran's state broadcaster IRIB also reported on the "brutal Zionist bombing of Beirut." The Al Mayadeen TV channel provided Izvestia with footage of the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a cafe in the city of Saida in southern Lebanon. As a result of the attack, nine people were killed and more than 20 injured.

The Lebanese Civil Defense Service reported the deaths of 254 people in Israeli strikes, and another 1,165 were injured. In Beirut, 92 civilians were killed and 742 injured.
