M-46 crews destroyed ammunition depots and temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Crews of the 130-mm M-46 cannon of the 239th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces destroyed ammunition depots and temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnepropetrovsk area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on April 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The scouts of the unmanned systems (UAVs) detected enemy targets and promptly transmitted their coordinates to the M-46 artillery crew. Having received accurate data, the gunners prepared the 130-mm cannon for firing and fired a series of volleys at enemy targets at a distance of about 20 km.

Objective monitoring footage confirmed the successful destruction of the ammunition depot and temporary locations of Ukrainian troops, which became possible thanks to coordinated actions with drone calculations.

"The dugouts were dismantled with the operators. <...> We set the charge to slow—motion so that it first enters and then explodes, or if we shoot at live fire, then we shoot at fragmentation so that more fragments fly apart," Daniil Aptykov, the gun's senior gunner, said about working with the cannon.

Artillery units of the 90th Guards Tank Division carry out combat missions around the clock to destroy the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring the advance of the group's assault units in this direction.
