Russia beat Poland in the elections to the executive board of the World Food Program (WFP), despite its support from Europe. This was announced on April 9 by the press service of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN).

"On April 8, following the results of the elections held at the UN headquarters, Russia was elected to the Executive Board of the World Food Program for the period 2027-2029 by a majority vote of the ECOSOC members," the Telegram channel says.
