It became known that scammers were sending dangerous Easter cards to Russians.
Scammers send dangerous Easter postcards to Russians in messengers. This was announced on April 9 by the press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front.
"Scammers are sending phishing "postcards" and viral content to Russians on the eve of Easter," RIA Novosti's press service reports.
According to Moshelovka, in such postcards, the attackers offer to join Easter contests, fundraisers or buy a cake. Scammers also disguise viral software as links with supposedly future exclusive broadcasts from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior or with Holy Fire.
On April 8, employees of the Department for Combating the Illegal use of information and Communication technologies (UBK) of the Russian Interior Ministry published an example of a scheme by which criminals recruit teenagers, intimidate them and isolate them from their loved ones. The scheme consists of three stages: "Bait", "Recruiter" and "Enforcer".
