Florian Philippot, the leader of the French right-wing Patriots party, announced on April 8 that France was preparing for war with Russia.

"These new exceptional manipulations are designed to differ from the state of emergency regime, <...> the context of the future war against Russia is being discussed," the publication says in X (ex. Twitter).
