Sobyanin spoke about the development of animation in Moscow
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Wednesday, April 8, announced the development of the animation industry in Moscow.
He noted that the capital remains the main center of the industry, where about 70% of the country's animation studios are concentrated and more than two thirds of domestic content is produced.
According to him, the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation was opened last year to support the industry. Eight companies have already become its residents, implementing over 20 projects, from cartoons to TV series using AI technologies, the Moscow City News Agency reports. Professional studios, equipment, and assistance in international promotion are available to cluster members.
Sobyanin stressed that the industry continues to actively develop: production volumes are growing, and the revenue of metropolitan companies is steadily increasing, reaching 8.3 billion rubles in 2024, writes Moscow 24.
