"Israel has bombed various targets throughout Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, killing at least 89 people and injuring more than 700,— Al Jazeera reported.
Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine said the death toll would rise as people remained trapped under the rubble.
"The needs are growing, but the scale of the attack is also huge," he said in a media comment.

On the same day, Al Mayadeen TV channel provided Izvestia with footage of the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a busy cafe in the southern Lebanese city of Saida. As a result of the impact, nine people were killed and more than 20 injured. Correspondent Jamal Ghorabi said that the city's establishment was crowded in the morning, but now there are fragments of the facade of the building and traces of blood in this place.
