The former deputy head of the Voronezh region is accused of accepting a bribe
The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Voronezh Region has opened a criminal case against the former deputy head of one of the regions of the region. The UK wrote about this on April 8 in its channel in the MAX.
"The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Voronezh Region have opened a criminal case against the former first deputy head of one of the municipal districts of the Voronezh Region. He was charged with committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a large—scale bribe")," the report says.
The publication notes that the criminal case was initiated on the basis of materials provided by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Voronezh region.
According to the investigation, the accused, holding the position of deputy head of the municipal district, in April 2024 received money as a bribe in the amount of 160 thousand rubles. The money was transferred to him from an employee of a commercial organization for assistance in concluding municipal contracts with the specified company for the provision of construction control services, as well as general patronage of its activities.
The Investigative Committee reported that the person involved had been detained. In addition, the investigation intends to appeal to the court to choose a preventive measure for the accused.
