Corriere della Sera reported a month's supply of gas in Italy when supplies were stopped

Italy's gas reserves will last for another month if supplies are stopped. This was announced on April 8 by the newspaper Corriere della Sera.

"The ministry's committee took into account the situation of extreme uncertainty and assessed the gas reserves, which in Italy account for 44% of capacity: a level that should be improved, given that if supplies are interrupted, the country's reserves will only be for a month," the newspaper writes.

The newspaper points out that at a special meeting at the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, possible scenarios for reducing energy consumption were discussed. Solutions such as extending remote work hours, reducing the use of air conditioners and cars were presented.

The Financial Times (FT) newspaper reported on the same day that despite the expected boom in eco-technologies, the escalation in the Middle East is forcing European countries to return to coal.
