The new equestrian complex of the Central Moscow Hippodrome (CMI) is included among the investment priority projects. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in a channel in the MAX.

The construction of the equestrian complex is part of a large—scale modernization of the Central Park. "As a result, it will become one of the best racetracks in the world," Sobyanin wrote.

The investor will invest about 11.35 billion rubles in the complex. Three indoor arenas, an outdoor parade ground, levades, and stables with modern infrastructure will be built, the head of Moscow said. "The status of an investment priority project will allow an investor to reset the property tax rate," Sobyanin explained.

The reconstruction of the Moscow Hippodrome is scheduled to be completed in 2026. The main building will be restored to its historical appearance, the capacity of the stands will almost double, and the Museum of the History of the racetrack and horse breeding of Russia will expand sixfold. In addition, restoration of the gate pylons with equestrian sculptures at the entrance from Leningradsky Prospekt and landscaping of the square in front of the main building are planned.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
