The first ship passed through the Strait of Hormuz after the United States and Iran agreed on a cease-fire. This was announced on April 8 by the State Television and Radio Company of Iran IRIB.
Trump said earlier in the day that he had agreed to suspend strikes on Iran for another two weeks. The condition for this was the complete unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz.
