The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate has called on motor transport drivers to refrain from traveling until the official opening of the motorcycle season. This was reported in the official channel of the department on Sunday, April 8.

"The operation of motorcycles in conditions of changeable weather conditions requires increased attention to traffic safety and an objective assessment of readiness to take to the road. In these conditions, even minor errors in motorcycle control can lead to an emergency," the Traffic Police stressed.

Before the start of the season, in addition to technical training, motorcyclists were advised to regain driving skills by practicing controls on enclosed areas, paying attention to braking, maneuvering and cornering. Drivers were also urged to use protective gear.

The department also reminded motorists that with the appearance of motorcyclists on the roads, increased care should be taken when changing lanes and cornering.

The day before, it was reported that in the first spring month of 2026, motorcycle sales in Russia amounted to 4,161 units, and this is a record result for March for all years of market surveillance.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
