Rosrybolovstvo expects a decrease in salmon catch to 230-250 thousand tons.

The volume of salmon catches in Russia by the end of 2026 may decrease to 230-250 thousand tons, the head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov announced on April 8 before an expanded meeting of the board of the department.

"For salmon, we expect a decrease in catch this year. It is difficult to say how much will be caught in the end. Hopefully, we will catch somewhere in the order of 230-250 thousand tons this year," explained Shestakov.
