In the south of Iran, several explosions occurred at an oil refinery after the announcement of a truce between Iran and the United States. This was reported on April 8 by the Iranian Mehr news agency.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred at a refinery in Khuzestan province on the Iranian island of Lavan. The cause of the explosions has not yet been determined.
