The anniversary campaign "Biblionoch" will be held in Moscow

On April 18-19, the 15th anniversary "Biblionoch" campaign will take place in Moscow. It will be dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Libraries and cultural centers in different districts of the capital will prepare hundreds of events, from performances, concerts and excursions to master classes, quizzes and film screenings. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"The campaign's motto this year is "A thread of traditions." Participants will hear works by famous Russian composers and poems by poets from different regions of our country, attend historical lectures and creative meetings," Natalia Sergunina said.

The program will start at 16:00 with the children's "Bibliosumerki" format. The main venue will be the Central City Children's Library named after A.P. Gaidar. Master classes on decorating nesting dolls and creating kokoshniks, performances of "The Tale of Igor's Regiment" and "The Tale of Peter and Fevronia", as well as productions of the shadow theater based on Nanai fairy tales were prepared for the children.

In the Central City Youth Library named after M.A. Svetlov, young guests will be able to make clay toys and listen to songs from Soviet cartoons. The Central Library No. 197 named after A.A. Akhmatova will introduce the techniques of Khokhloma and Gzhel painting.

Several libraries will also hold a flash mob "Unity for me is ...". Children and teenagers will present their drawings on this topic, and the best works will be shown in the summer at the Red Square Book Festival.

Events for the adult audience will begin at 18:00. Theatrical readings and lectures dedicated to Leo Tolstoy and the epistolary genre are planned at the N.A. Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library.

Russian folk songs and romances performed by the ensemble will be performed from the stage in the House of A.F. Losev. The performances "The Nose" and "Marriage" will be presented in the House of Nikolai Gogol, as well as a lecture on the restoration of Moscow after the fire of 1812. A creative meeting dedicated to the peculiarities of national costumes of the peoples of Russia will be held in the library No. 180 named after N.F. Fedorov.
