Putin awarded artist Safronov the Order of Alexander Nevsky
Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded artist Nikolai Safronov the Order of Alexander Nevsky. The relevant decree was published on April 8 on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"For his contribution to the development of Russian culture and art, and his many years of fruitful activity, Nikolai Stepanovich Safronov, an artist and academician of the federal State budgetary institution Russian Academy of Arts, should be awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky," the document says.
On March 30, Putin awarded the Governor of the Saratov Region, Roman Busargin, with the Order of Alexander Nevsky, and the governor of the Irkutsk Region, Igor Kobzev, with the Order of Friendship. In addition, the Mayor of Grozny, Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, was awarded the Order of Friendship "for his labor achievements and many years of conscientious work."
