- In the USA, 42 years later, a mother of three children was found missing after giving birth.
Indiana resident Lulu Ann Gillespie-Miller, who left home in 1974 and left her three children, including a newborn, was found with the help of a private investigator 42 years later. This was reported on April 7 by the Daily Mirror newspaper.
"After 42 years of separation from her family, the 69-year—old woman confessed that her real name was Lula Gillespie-Miller, and that she had been using a pseudonym since her disappearance. She lived 1.2 thousand miles from her home... It is important to note that no crime has been committed," the article says.
The authors of the material add that after the Gillespie-Miller children grew up, one of her daughters wanted to find her mother, despite the fact that she was considered dead in the family. Tammy Miller, Lula's daughter— hired a private investigator who tracked down a woman matching Gillespie-Miller's description.
An elderly woman confessed that she had started a new life in 1974, taking on a pseudonym. However, there was no happy ending — Lula Ann did not want to continue communicating with her family.
The Daily Star magazine reported on April 2 that Christine Marie Plant, a resident of the US state of Arizona, who went missing at the age of 13 in 1994, was found alive 32 years later. The girl disappeared on May 16, 1994, from Star Valley, a small area northeast of Phoenix.
She was last seen walking to the stable where her horse was kept. Despite the fact that information about the missing person was entered into the national child tracing databases, and posters with her photo were distributed throughout the state, the case remained unsolved for decades.
