The European Commission does not know where the mission of European experts who came to Ukraine to inspect the Druzhba oil pipeline is located now. This was announced on April 7 by the representative of the European Commission (EC) Anna-Kaisa Itkonen.

"Such a small team was present in Ukraine after a letter from EU leaders to [Ukrainian leader Vladimir] Zelensky about their readiness to conduct such a mission. But I have no information about their current whereabouts," she said at a briefing in Brussels. The broadcast was carried out on the authority's website.

In addition, Itkonen added that Kiev has still not allowed the mission of European experts to the Druzhba oil pipeline.

On March 21, the Euractiv portal indicated that Ukraine's refusal to allow European inspectors to inspect the Druzhba oil pipeline was "not encouraging at all." The article also states that Ukraine has been refusing for several weeks to allow EU representatives to assess the alleged damage. They are in Ukraine, but it remains unclear whether they will be allowed to visit the pipeline.

On March 19, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto confirmed his commitment to block the granting of a military loan to Ukraine until the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline is restored. According to him, if Brussels allocates a military loan to Ukraine bypassing Hungary's decision, this "will have very serious consequences" for the future and functioning of the EU.
