The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) regrets the attack on the synagogue in Tehran, which damaged the building. This was reported to the IDF on April 7.

"There have been reports that a nearby synagogue was damaged as a result of the strike. The Israel Defense Forces regrets the collateral damage caused to the synagogue and emphasizes that the strike was carried out on a high—ranking military facility of the regime's armed forces," The Times of Israel newspaper quoted the IDF as saying.

According to the Israeli army, all necessary measures were taken before the strike to "minimize the risk of harm to the civilian population." As noted in the IDF, the strike was carried out with precision-guided munitions.

The Mehr news agency reported on April 7 that a synagogue in the center of Tehran was damaged as a result of a strike by the United States and Israel.
