The Federation Council recalled the right of the families of ITS participants to compensation for housing and communal services

Families of participants in a special military operation (SVO) are entitled to compensation for 50% of the cost of housing and communal services (housing and communal services), for which it is necessary to apply to the social protection authorities. Senator Airat Gibatdinov told about it on Wednesday, April 8.

"Since 2025, the participants of the SVO and their families have the right to compensation of 50% of the cost of housing and communal services. This measure applies to contributions for major repairs, maintenance of residential premises and hiring, fees for cold and hot water, electricity consumed during the maintenance of common property in an apartment building, as well as for wastewater disposal," Gibatdinov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the senator, a package of documents will need to be prepared to receive the payment. These include a contract for military service and an official confirmation of a serviceman's participation in his military service.

"The benefit is valid indefinitely and is provided both during the citizen's participation in the SVO and after his return home. Both the fighter himself and a member of his family can apply with a power of attorney in simple written form, who live with him [for example, spouse, children, parents, dependents]," the parliamentarian explained.

The Antimonopoly Service will have the right to set prices independently.

Dmitry Gusev, a deputy of the State Duma (State Duma), proposed introducing a single regulation for notifications of changes in the amount of payment for residential premises and housing and communal services. It clarifies that this initiative proposes to fix a certain list of information that should be contained in the notification for payers: the amount of the fee before and after the change, the difference for each service, as well as the reasons for the increase and the date on which the new tariffs will take effect.
