CEO of the Job search and Employee Recruitment service GdeRabota.ru Ekaterina Agayeva told on Tuesday, April 7, in which areas there will be a steady demand for specialists in the coming years.

"Technology service workers will not be left without work. This is one of the fastest growing and developing categories. Thus, companies are massively introducing AI into their work processes and automating their business. This requires competent specialists in development, maintenance and cybersecurity," the expert said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to her, engineering and labor specialties will keep their jobs. There is a shortage of specialists in these areas, and in the coming years, most likely, it will not be possible to overcome the shortage of personnel. Robotics specialists will also be in demand, RT reports.

"In the digital age, human–to-human specialties will become more valued. AI does not have developed emotional intelligence and empathy, but they are necessary for working with people. Therefore, doctors, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and psychologists will be in demand in the coming years," Agayeva said.

She added that specialists from the fields of logistics, transport, and education will be needed in the labor market.

"Training departs from a conservative approach and today it is possible to master a new profession in a short time. In the near future, due to the rapid change in market trends and changes in working tools, constant retraining will be necessary. This requires mentors, teachers of professional skills and corporate trainers," the expert said.

Earlier, on April 2, Alexandra Naumova, director of HR recruitment at Ventra HR holding, said that older Russians began to look for work and part-time work much more actively in 2025 against the background of financial and demographic factors. 360.ru .

According to her, the increase in the number of resumes and responses among applicants 55+ is associated with several reasons at once, for example, pension reform, which forces people to stay in the market longer, financial motive — pensions are often not enough, people are forced to look for a part-time job or a full-time job. In addition, the older generation tries to remain active socially: to work, develop, and play sports.

On March 16, Volodin reported that in Russia there was an increase in the prestige of professions such as welder, driver, and turner. It was noted that working professions are becoming in demand among young people.
