"It's quite extraordinary how they managed to record it in such a short period of time. He was so prolific at that time <...> If you look at this album and its track list, it looks like a greatest hits compilation," said Sotheby's pop culture specialist Craig Inciardi.

In addition to the guitar, the handwritten lyrics of the song Don't Look Back in Anger and the 12-string Rickenbacker, which Gallagher has been using for a decade, will be put up for auction in April. The rare acoustic instrument was presented by the musician to the band's road manager, after which it was bought by a private collector.

"For fans and collectors, these guitars are the "holy Grail" or relics. These are functional objects that have become extremely in demand, and the cost of musical instruments with such historical provenance has increased significantly over time," said Inciardi.

According to the publication, the guitar is being auctioned for the first time, its estimated value ranges from $ 60 thousand to $80 thousand. Online trading will open on Thursday, April 9th.
