The number of ads for the sale of Chinese used cars has increased in Russia

According to their data, following the surge in the average cost of used cars no older than 15 years at the beginning of the year, the market has seen a slight price adjustment for the second month in a row amid a reduction in supply among non-Chinese brands.

The average price of a domestic car increased by less than 1% in the first spring month relative to February values, reaching 733 thousand rubles. The average cost of a non-Chinese foreign car increased by almost 2% (to 2.39 million rubles). Chinese prices also increased by 2%, to 2.26 million rubles. At the same time, the average age of a used Chinese car is less than five years, and the rest of the foreign cars are almost twice as old.

Among models with mileage no older than 15 years, the largest drop in average cost in March was shown by Geely Emgrand (-4.7%; 1.55 million rubles), Tank 500 (-3%; 4.88 million rubles), ZAZ Chance (-2.4%; 234 thousand rubles), Jaecoo J7 (-2.2%; 2.45 million rubles) and Lada 2115 (-2%; 231 thousand rubles).

By the end of March, a decrease in the average cost of a used car was noted in three regions of the country: the Kirov Region (-2.5%; 1.03 million rubles), the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (-1.8%; 987,000 rubles) and the Stavropol Territory (-1%; 1.5 million rubles). The leaders in increasing the average price were Samara (+5.7%; 1.23 million rubles) and Yaroslavl (+5.2%; 1.22 million rubles) regions. In St. Petersburg and Moscow, the growth in March was slightly less than 2%, to 2.17 million and 2.88 million rubles, respectively.
