In Dagestan, the number of people poisoned in the village of Karabudakhkentsky district has increased to 76 people, 57 of whom are children. This was reported by TASS on April 7, citing a source in the operational services of the region.

"From March 31 to April 7, 76 people with signs of acute intestinal infection, including 57 children, applied to the Karabudakhkent CRH," the agency quotes the source.

There are 34 patients hospitalized in hospitals.

On April 4, the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor department reported that 25 people had been hospitalized in the Dagestani village of Karabudakhkent due to deteriorating health, and the patients' condition was stable. It was noted that the causes of the disease are being determined by specialists, and an anti-epidemic team is working.

As a result of heavy rains that hit the Republic of Dagestan in late March, hundreds of cars, apartments and private houses were flooded. According to local resident Tazhudin Akhmedov, a "global flood" is taking place in Dagestan. Emergency immunization of the population against viral hepatitis A is taking place in the flooded areas of Dagestan. As a matter of priority, employees of catering organizations, food trade workers and specialists from food stores in kindergartens, schools and medical institutions will receive vaccinations.
