The Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation and the UAE stressed the importance of ending the conflict in the Middle East

During a telephone conversation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Persian Gulf. This was announced on April 7 on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The importance of an immediate cessation of hostilities, which lead to human casualties and cause serious damage to vital civilian infrastructure, including in countries not participating in an armed confrontation, was emphasized," the statement said.

During the talks, the mutual commitment to maintaining foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Abu Dhabi for a peaceful settlement of the crisis in the Middle East was confirmed.

It is noted that during the conversation, topical issues of further development of the Russian-Emirati strategic partnership were discussed.

On April 5, Press TV reported that Iran had attacked US military bases in the UAE and Kuwait.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced attacks on the data center of the American technology company Oracle in Dubai on April 2. Later, the Emirati authorities confirmed minor damage to the building.
