Launches of several Russian lunar missions postponed to a later date
The launch of the Luna-28, Luna-29 and Luna-30 spacecraft was postponed to 2032-2036. This was announced on April 7 by Sergey Chernyshev, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at a meeting of the Academy of Sciences.
"The academician said that the Russian lunar program is divided into two stages. First, technological developments and research are planned at the landing site of the vehicles," the Kommersant newspaper clarifies.
As Chernyshev noted, it is necessary to create elements of lunar bases and "detach" from the landing site.
Astronauts of the American lunar mission Artemis II conducted an April 6 survey of a part of the surface of the Earth's natural satellite that is not visible from the planet. NASA emphasized that the participants of the current mission will become the first people in history to personally see the far side of the Moon during a satellite flyby.
