Nine more show business stars have been detained in Turkey in a drug case.

At least nine well-known representatives of show business and the film industry in Turkey were detained in Istanbul during a new anti-drug operation. This is reported by the local NTV channel.

Among the detainees was actor Ibrahim Celikkol, who became widely known for his roles in the TV series "The House in which you were Born" and "Flight of the Bird." Popular pop singers Bengyu, Simge Sagyn, Melek Mosso and Mustafa Dzhezhdeli were also taken into custody.

In addition to the artists, law enforcement officers detained fashion designer Sipahi Hadjisuleimanoglu and music producer Ilkay Senjan.

All the defendants in the case are suspected of using, storing and distributing narcotic substances. The police are currently conducting investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crimes.

Large-scale anti-drug operations have been regularly conducted in Turkey, mainly in Istanbul, over the past few months.
