In Taganrog, a 32-year-old man shot his parents with a rifle and fled in an unknown direction. This was reported on April 7 by a source of Izvestia.

"A man shot his parents from a Saiga, got behind the wheel of a Kia Sportage and drove away with a gun," the source said.

According to him, the Taganrog resident suffered from drug addiction and was held responsible for the acquisition and possession of prohibited substances. The police are currently looking for the suspect.

According to the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region, a criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder of two persons).

On March 31, a court sentenced Roman Tkachenko, the stepson of rock musician Stas Namin (real name is Anastas Mikoyan), accused of murdering his grandmother and stepbrother, to 18 years in a high-security penal colony.
