On April 7, the educational marathon "Space with Knowledge" will be held at the National Space Center named after the world's first female cosmonaut V.V. Tereshkova. The event will be the main educational event of the Space Week in Russia. The organizers are the Roscosmos State Corporation and the Russian Society Znanie.

The Space with Knowledge marathon starts on the second day of Space Week. More than 1,000 students from specialized universities and colleges, as well as representatives of the educational and expert community, will take part in the marathon.

The marathon program will introduce the modern rocket and space industry, technologies that have come from space into everyday life, reveal the influence of space on culture and art, and allow us to look at outer space as an arena of international cooperation. In addition to lectures, students will be able to take part in workshops on space technology, astrophotography, piloting and content creation.

"Space is not only about advanced technologies and scientific discoveries, but also a source of inspiration for millions of people. Our task is to make it closer and clearer to everyone who dreams of the stars, because space exploration is a common dream and a common cause. It is youth that is the main engine of progress in our industry, and we see it as the future of Russian cosmonautics. And today it is especially significant for us that for the first time the headquarters of the Roscosmos State Corporation has become the venue for such a large-scale youth event, which opens a series of major events of Space Week in Russia," said Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of Roscosmos State Corporation.

"Our marathon is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. The feat of Yuri Gagarin, the scientific achievements of Sergei Korolev and the work of many other designers and engineers have forever cemented our country's status as a space power. The Space Week announced by the President will not only remind of the victories of the past, but also tell about the achievements of the present. In an open dialogue with prominent lecturers, including active cosmonauts, the students will learn how the space industry is developing, how space services and technologies are changing everyday life, and why space is part of the national DNA. I am sure that the marathon will inspire young people to new achievements," said Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Znanie Society.

The atmospheric platform of the National Space Center named after the World's First Female Cosmonaut, V.V. Tereshkova, will bring together industry experts, cosmonauts, scientists, media and cultural representatives. Invited to participate are: Dmitry Bakanov, General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation; Oleg Kononenko, Head of the Cosmonaut Training Center, Commander of the Roscosmos Cosmonaut Squad; Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation; Konstantin Khabensky, Artistic Director, Director of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater; Konstantin Khabensky, People's Artist of Russia, State Prize Winner of the Russian Federation; Alexey Shelobkov, CEO of X Holding, founder and head of the hardware development company Yadro and the aerospace company Bureau 1440, and others.

With participants in the room will communicate test cosmonauts Anton shkaplerov and Oleg Platonov, and from orbit live on the questions of the participants will answer cosmonaut-researcher of the cosmonaut corps of the state Corporation "Roscosmos", the Hero of the Russian Federation Sergey Code-Crickets, the astronaut-astronauts especialitzada of the state Corporation "Roscosmos", the Hero of the Russian Federation Andrey Fedyaev, cosmonaut-researcher of the cosmonaut corps of the state Corporation "Roscosmos", the military pilot 1st class Sergey Minaev.

On April 7, the Day of Unified Action will be held – the lecture of the Znanie Society "108 minutes that changed the world" will be read in all regions of the country. Anyone can join the Space Week and hold an event dedicated to Russian cosmonautics using materials from the Library of ready-made lectures.

In addition, within the framework of Space Week, the Znanie Society will launch a thematic campaign dedicated to Cosmonautics Day. It starts on April 6. Schoolchildren, students, working youth, parents and representatives of the older generation will take part in the action. Lecturers of the educational organization, including popularizers of science and specialists in the relevant industry, will talk about the achievements, inventions and technologies of the Russian space industry. Meetings with astronauts will also take place. For example, in Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, test cosmonaut Andrey Babkin and cosmonaut pilot, Hero of Russia Sergey Ryzhikov will talk with young people.

Space Week will be held in Russia from April 6 to 12. On December 29, the President of Russia signed a decree on the annual holding of the Week. In 2026, it is timed to coincide with the 65th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. The organizer of the Space Week is the State Corporation Roscosmos.
