"Accordingly, 495 of the 495 delegates (100% of the delegates present) voted in favor, and the National Assembly approved a draft resolution electing Comrade Toh Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and delegate to the 16th National Assembly, as President of Vietnam," the publication says.
