Three people were injured in the explosion at the bridge over the Panama Canal

An explosion occurred on a tanker that was passing under the bridge over the Panama Canal, injuring four people. This was announced on April 6 by the press service of the local fire department on Instagram (owned by the Meta organization, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was a fire on the ship. The fuel on board detonated, after which the flames spread to fuel trucks located in the immediate vicinity of the epicenter.

Two victims were hospitalized with second-degree burns, and doctors are providing them with the necessary care. Another person is missing, and rescuers are currently continuing a search operation in the canal area.

Traffic on the bridge is temporarily suspended. Local authorities have asked citizens to avoid the area and not create obstacles for the passage of emergency vehicles.

The Bild newspaper reported on April 2 that in the city of Siegburg in Germany, 12 people were injured in an explosion in a carriage caused by a train passenger. It is noted that the suspect, a 20-year-old citizen of the country, was detained by locking him in a toilet stall.
