Oncologist Kaprin: 54% of new cancer cases in Russia are detected in women

Among Russians with cancer, 54% of cases occur in women. This was announced on April 7 by Andrey Kaprin, Chief Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Director General of the National Research Medical Center of Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"The gender distribution as a whole remains stable: about 54% of all new cancer cases are detected in women, 46% in men. Over the past ten years, this ratio has hardly changed," the doctor said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
