Ships of the Pacific Fleet entered the port of Cambodia with a business call
A detachment of ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet made a business call at the port of Sihanouakville in the Kingdom of Cambodia. This was announced on April 7 by the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
The squad included the corvettes "Perfect" and "Sharp". The crews were met at the pier by representatives of the Cambodian Navy, as well as Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom.
The program of the visit provides for the participation of crews in a number of protocol events, as well as cultural and sporting events.
The detachment's route began on February 12 from Vladivostok and was aimed at completing tasks in the waters of the Asia-Pacific region. As part of international cooperation, friendly calls have previously been made at foreign ports, including Georgetown in Malaysia, Tilawa in Myanmar, Visakhapatnam in India and Chittagong in Bangladesh.
On March 25, a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet consisting of the corvettes "Perfect" and "Sharp" arrived at the port of Chittagong in the People's Republic of Bangladesh with a business call. Representatives of the republic's naval forces and employees of the Russian Embassy met the Russian military sailors at the pier.
