South Korea's national airline, Korean Air, announced on April 7 that it was ready to consider the possibility of resuming direct flights to Russia in the future.

"Korean Air considers it possible to discuss (the resumption of flights. — Ed.) in the future, if the situation improves," the company said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On April 6, the president of the Korean-Russian Business Council, Park Jeong-ho, announced that South Korean airlines were discussing the resumption of direct flights with Russia. According to him, interest in resuming direct flights has arisen due to increased demand for Russian goods, including resources, agricultural products, petrochemicals, non-ferrous metals and aluminum.
