The Russian Armed Forces have taken up positions in the industrial zone and residential private sector of Konstantinovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and have gained a foothold in these areas. This was announced on April 6 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the DPR.

"And we have already gained a foothold in the industrial zone there, we have gained a foothold in the private sector. There is still a layer cake in places in the city itself, but nevertheless we are talking about the fact that we are present in the village," he said in an interview with the Vesti newspaper.

According to him, work is currently underway in Konstantinovka to detect and destroy logistics routes that ensure the rotation of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the evacuation of the wounded, as well as the supply of ammunition to the enemy.

Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov reported on March 6 that in the area of Konstantinovka, operators of the unmanned systems of the 4th Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces had driven the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters into shelters and were not allowing them to move. Russian military personnel also control enemy positions and ammunition shipments.
