A pensioner who suffered due to snow falling from the roof died in a hospital in the Kama region.

An 85-year-old woman who was injured as a result of a block of snow falling from the roof of a five-story building died in the Kungur hospital in Perm Krai. This was reported to the <url> news agency by the pensioner's relatives, the information was confirmed by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

"The doctors did everything possible, but they could not save the patient," the ministry said.

According to the SU IC of Russia for the region, the tragedy occurred on March 27 on Lenin Street. A block of snow and ice fell on an 85-year-old woman from the roof of a five-story building. The pensioner with multiple injuries was urgently transported to the hospital, where she died a few days later.

A criminal case has been opened under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements (art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). An investigation is underway.

On March 17, an ice block collapsed from the roof of an apartment building onto a bus stop in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. A 54-year-old woman was standing under the roof of the bus stop, and she died on the spot from her injuries.
